UK Petrol Prices

The price of fuel in the UK whether it be petrol or diesel is disgustingly high. I'm paying nearly £1.48p per litre, and it still seems to be going up!

Recently the government released their latest budget, in it they had the chance of delaying the planned 3p a litre rise later in the year, but they chose not to help the vast majority of families and people in this country who use their cars regular. Many of us cannot rely on public transport, often its unreliable or not in plentiful supply so have to rely on our own vehicles

The coalition government have decided to go ahead with the planned fuel duty rise later in the years. They tried to wash over the fact by going on and on about raising the tax threshold, but in reality what they were doing was giving with one hand and taking back with the other.

With a large percentage of fuel prices going to fuel duty, this government has the power to help the people who need the fuel but chose not to. I hope this year we see the return of blockades and protests all over their country, its the only way the David Cameron will have to confront the issue and do something about it.
